By designing your own custom shutter, you get to choose exactly what you want. You have the liberty to create your own personal work of art. Or perhaps you own a house where some or all of the current shutters need to be replaced? Timberlane can manufacture a custom shutter that replicates your existing shutter design.

When custom shutters are built and installed correctly you can see the difference. They are built by fine craftsmen with the same skill and finesse that is used in making high-quality wood furniture. By comparison, generic or “stock” shutters typically come in standard sizes, usually in four inch increments, which means that the shutter may be too long or too short for your window. Custom shutters are made so when they close, they meet perfectly in the middle, and louvered styles can be fully operational, allowing you to open and shut the louvers.

If you want to design your own custom shutters, Timberlane offers several options. First, determine which style of shutter you want (Paneled, Louvered, Combination, Board and Batten, or Bermuda). If you’re choosing a louver or paneled shutter, you may customize the panel configuration.

Cut-outs (we have over 100 to choose from or you may design your own), radius tops, panel profiles, mouseholes, tilt rods, rabbeting account for some of the options we offer.
