OPTIONS Mouseholes
Historical accuracy is a big thing
to us, as it is with most of our customers. Authentic working
louvered shutters had a rod, called a tilt-rod, to move
the louvers into the open or the closed position. The tilt
rod rested in a small opening, called a mousehole. We offer
decorative tilt rods and mouseholes
as an option to customers desiring added authenticity.
SHOWN: Mouse Hole (Option #1300)
Not available on TR1,
NE1 or SW1
The fewer moving parts, the more
durable your shutters will be. Since todays shutters
are purely decorative, theres no reason to add a function
that will go unused and could result in premature aging
of shutters. To make shutters appear functional for historical
accuracy, select our tilt rod
and mousehole options.
