Tilt-Rods
Historical accuracy is a big
thing to us, as it is with most of our customers. Authentic
working louvered shutters had a rod, called a tilt-rod,
to move the louvers into the open or the closed position.
Today they are purely decorative and meant to remind us
of what once was.
The fewer moving parts, the more durable
your shutters will be. Since todays shutters are purely
decorative, theres no reason to add a function that
will go unused and could result in premature aging of shutters.
To make shutters appear functional for historical accuracy,
select our tilt rod and mousehole
options.
